Background:
St Peter's Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School is a village school with a friendly community atmosphere. The school was re-organised on 1st September 1995 following the closure of Honingham Voluntary Controlled Primary School. The school was extended and re-modelled in 1997. During the school year there are regular events, which include the Harvest Festival, Christmas celebrations, special assemblies, a summer fair and sports day. The school aims to organise extra activities, which enhance the curriculum and school life. Physical education takes place in the school's hall and includes gymnastics, large and small apparatus work, dance and games. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
