Background:

Wymondham High School is an 11 to 18 mixed comprehensive school. The traditional catchment area comprises Wymondham and its satellite villages, although many children travel from much further afield. The school has excellent facilities and prides itself on being a caring community of people with high standards and expectations. The school has close contacts maintained with all feeder schools. Youngsters visit the school for a variety of activities during the course of the year, for example: music, drama, physical education, science and an information technology programme. The school has a Sportsmark Award 2002-05. A variety of extra-curricular offered at the school are athletics, badminton, cricket, cross-country, hockey, netball, soccer and tennis. A wide range of opportunities are provided at lunchtime and after-school to enhance the learning of pupils. The school aims to provide a dynamic and personalised learning community built on traditional values that set high academic and social standards, valuing and supporting all individuals.
