Background:
Bawburgh Primary is set in grounds which include a large playing field, hard play area, pond, wild flower, sensory and minibeast areas. Natural pieces of play equipment have been created inside a maze of small trees. Children use computers in the classroom and the school has access to the internet. A football trainer coaches interested pupils who them play against other schools, while pupils have the chance to work for gymnastics and athletics awards and learn to swim. Children may learn to play the keyboard, viola or violin and the school has an orchestra which performs 'regularly' at school events and music festivals. Bawburgh values its 'very strong' links with the Church and has been awarded Investor in People status. In 1999, pupils won a competition to provide books for the school. The school is oversubscribed.
