Background:
Freethorpe is located in a rural location, eight miles from Great Yarmouth. The school buildings were remodelled in 1988 and have six class bases, a hall, a library and offices. It has a large field and playground areas. Extra-curricular clubs develop the schools strengths in sport, football, netball, hockey, cross-country, cricket, cycling as well as ICT, guitar, gardening, art and design. Freethorpe is a school which aims to develop every individual, nurture and support all children's gifts and talents, foster a love of learning and the motivation to do one's best to achieve.
