Background:
Situated in a very rural location, the school was founded in the 1930s and extended in the 1960s, and serves a large catchment area. Facilities include a gym and a large playing field but the buildings are now in need of repair and renovation and the school has secured #850,000 to build a new block to replace its 'mobile village'. 'Regularly in the top 10% of Norfolk schools for GCSE results', Litcham High offers 'extensive' extra-curricular activities for which Education Extra awarded it a distinction in 2001. A teacher-co-ordinator and four assistants provide support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN). 'Quality learning through quality caring within a clear, firm structure with high expectations for and from all'.
