Background:
This 'thriving' school is situated near the church in the centre of Saham Toney, a 'very attractive' village with a 'wide mix' of housing. Parker's was built in 1845, and after its extension in 1990, it offers 'modern attractive' facilities. It includes four classrooms, a library, a craft/technology room, a purpose-built hall 'well equipped' for physical education, an environmental garden and 'landscaped' gardens. The school is 'well-situated' to take advantage of local studies within the village, and it has links with local farms and businesses. Parker's benefits from the 'interest and support' from the church community. Services are held in church from time to time and the rector regularly leads assemblies. Parents take a 'keen interest' in the school and several of them help in class with a range of activities. The 'active' friends' association supports the school by organising social and fund-raising events for school equipment.
