Background:

Garboldisham is a voluntary controlled school. It is set in a conservation area beside the church and is proud of its traditions and beautiful setting. The school offers as broad a range of activities as it can and encourages children to participate to the best of their abilities. The national numeracy and literacy strategies are followed throughout the school. The school is proud of its ICT provision. It has an interactive board in every classroom. There is a strong tradition of music in the school and it is taught by specialist teachers. In physical education the school offers a broad curriculum, enjoying the facilities and equipment in the new village hall as well as weekly swimming sessions in the spring and summer terms. The school also supports the curriculum with relevant visits, both in the area and residential. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experiences it offers to all its pupils.
