Old Buckenham High School has a fine reputation for providing high quality education in a happy and well-ordered environment. The school is well resourced. All lessons are taught in specialist laboratories, workshops, studios and classrooms. There are three specialist computer rooms. There is a well-stocked and attractive library, modern hall with stage, a drama studio, music practice rooms and a separate dining hall. The facilities for physical education include gymnasium, extensive playing fields, two hard court areas and a heated open-air swimming pool. The school provides a wide range of lunchtime and after-school clubs and activities including football, rugby, netball, badminton, hockey, wind band, ensembles, choir and judo. A wide range of visits, holidays and fieldtrips also take place during the school year. The school aims to give its children the experience of school as a caring and supportive community where life is enjoyable and where there is equal provision for all.
